This year’s CSUN Assistive Technology Conference (CSUNATC25) was an incredible experience for Mantis & Co. The energy, the conversations, and the connections we made reaffirmed why accessibility and inclusive design matter so deeply.

Building Community at the Mantis & Co. Booth

One of the biggest highlights was engaging with the design and disability communities at our booth. We were blown away by the response to our branding and setup, many attendees even dubbed it the best bootstrapping booth design! Seeing our vision resonate so strongly reinforced the power of accessibility-driven design.

A special shoutout to Daniel Henderson-Ede, who fearlessly took on the role of our inflatable mantis mascot, spreading joy and curiosity across the exhibit hall.

Introducing our Accessibility Design Sticker Series

We shared nearly 5,000 holographic stickers from our custom illustrated accessibility sticker series dedicated to all of the designers and practitioners doing the work to bake accessibility into their process every day. They seemed to be well-received for their sparkly goodness and adorable characters.

Accessibility and Design Systems: A Perfect Match

Another highlight was Daniel’s talk on how accessibility is a design system’s best friend. His session explored the critical role of accessibility within structured design processes, making it clear that inclusive design isn’t an add-on. It’s a fundamental part of creating better products for everyone. And of course, we came prepared with stickers for all!

His presentation was well-received, and so we’re excited to share the content with you in the coming weeks.

Connections That Matter

Beyond the booth and sessions, CSUN was an incredible opportunity to connect with organizations driving real change. We were thrilled to engage with Fable, ArcTouch, the GAAD Foundation, IAAP, and so many others working to push accessibility forward. The depth of these conversations underscored the shared commitment within this community to create systems that are truly inclusive.

What’s Next for Mantis & Co.?

Our journey doesn’t stop here! Next, we’ll be heading to Disability:IN’s conference in Orlando, FL this July. If CSUN was any indication, we’re in for another round of meaningful discussions, collaborations, and inspiration. To everyone we met, thank you for your insights, passion, and support. We can’t wait to continue these conversations and push accessibility forward together. See you in Orlando!

We're excited to also share this with you.
